About Malaysia Teqball Association (MTA)

Uniting Malaysia Through the Fastest-Growing Sport in the World

Who We Are

Established in December 2018, the Malaysia Teqball Association (MTA) is the official national governing body for Teqball in Malaysia. Affiliated with FITEQ – the International Federation of Teqball, MTA plays a vital role in bringing the world’s fastest-growing sport to local communities, institutions, and athletes across the country.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, the MTA is dedicated to growing Teqball into an exciting, inclusive, and accessible sport for everyone — from grassroots enthusiasts to elite international athletes.

About Teqball?

Teqball is a dynamic and skill-based ball sport that merges elements of football, table tennis, and sepak takraw, played on a specially designed curved table. Players use any part of their body except arms and hands to rally the ball, emphasizing control, precision, and agility. The sport can be played in both singles and doubles formats.

Teqball appeals to both professional athletes looking to improve their technique and casual enthusiasts seeking a new, fun way to stay fit and engaged.

Teqball in Malaysia

Our Journey

Teqball was introduced in Malaysia by MTA’s President, Mr. KJ Siva, in 2018. Recognizing its potential, he actively championed the sport through nationwide outreach — from government agencies and schools to corporates, universities, and community platforms.

Malaysia has emerged as a powerhouse in Teqball within Southeast Asia, with its national teams making their mark at the Teqball World Championships, Asia Pacific Cups, and numerous top-tier international events. As of 2025, Malaysia proudly ranks as the second-highest Teqball nation in the ASEAN region.
